I thought it would be fitting to post pictures from the pumpkin patch at the Arboretum one year later so you can see how they have grown. Emily and Michael turned 2 in September so it was a little harder to get them to sit down and smile. I promise I won't wait a year until the next post! Hope everyone is well.</div></div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-28227942803078684952009-11-01T12:21:00.003-06:002009-11-01T12:59:01.976-06:00The Pumpkin Patch<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y4WSSwZI/AAAAAAAAAEk/MSWkirUOkmg/s1600-h/10-29-09+088.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399209990853673362" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y4WSSwZI/AAAAAAAAAEk/MSWkirUOkmg/s320/10-29-09+088.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3y2e-xI/AAAAAAAAAEc/sjNLCT1Dl-c/s1600-h/10-29-09+087.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399209981341793042" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3y2e-xI/AAAAAAAAAEc/sjNLCT1Dl-c/s320/10-29-09+087.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3pBFBRI/AAAAAAAAAEU/VQBjIEhaV84/s1600-h/10-29-09+080.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399209978701874450" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3pBFBRI/AAAAAAAAAEU/VQBjIEhaV84/s320/10-29-09+080.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3cDgQ1I/AAAAAAAAAEM/Ahh1Qb7xN58/s1600-h/10-29-09+078.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399209975222387538" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Su3Y3cDgQ1I/AAAAAAAAAEM/Ahh1Qb7xN58/s320/10-29-09+078.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>Last Friday we went with some friends to the pumpkin patch at the Arboretum to take Halloween pictures. The babies had a great time playing in the pumpkins and watching all of the kids, however they were not as thrilled about wearing their costumes. We still can't believe it has been a year! It is truly amazing how far they have come. When Emily was born she weighed 2 pounds, 8 ounces, a year later she weighs 21 pounds, 1 ounce. Michael has grown from 2 pounds, 4 ounces to 19 pounds, 14 ounces. Emily is crawling all over the house and pulling up to stand. Michael is close to crawling and babbling just as much as Emily. They ate cake for the first time at their birthday party; judging by the pictures I think they liked it. I plan on adding new pictures of the babies soon. Now that football season is here I'll make sure to include pictures of my little longhorns. Hopefully we'll get some cute pictures of them at the pumpkin patch as well. I hope you enjoy the new pictures!</div></div></div></div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-82270326726920266422009-06-02T22:30:00.003-05:002009-06-02T23:01:00.106-05:00It's been a while .. .<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SiXy0IHM8BI/AAAAAAAAADk/-L3FSLuDwc4/s1600-h/Pics+on+05-31-09+001.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342943510289772562" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SiXy0IHM8BI/AAAAAAAAADk/-L3FSLuDwc4/s320/Pics+on+05-31-09+001.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SiXyz_ueY6I/AAAAAAAAADc/vrA1zQX1lMQ/s1600-h/Pics+on+05-31-09+019.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342943508038575010" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SiXyz_ueY6I/AAAAAAAAADc/vrA1zQX1lMQ/s320/Pics+on+05-31-09+019.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div>Okay, so I haven't really kept up with the blog very well. We have been busy since I last posted. The babies and I went to Houston for nine days. Nick and I went to Playa del Carmen for a wedding over a three day weekend. We have had lots of family come to see us. Michael had a day surgery and Emily had a few physical therapy appointments.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>I am happy to report Michael and Emily are doing really well and getting big! I can't believe they are eight and half months old now! Time has really flown by. I'm not sure how much they weigh right now, around 17 pounds I think. June 16th is their nine month appointment so we'll find out their exact measurements then. </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>I'm going to try and be better about keeping up with this blog. I have been told by several people I need to at least post new pictures. It means a lot to us to know that people are still thinking about us. Until my next post (probably June 16th), I hope you enjoy the new pictures!</div></div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-72705806352185185882009-03-19T19:15:00.002-05:002009-03-19T19:25:52.448-05:00Six Month Check upYesterday Michael and Emily had their six month check up. The pediatrician said they are doing great. Michael weighs 13 pounds and 9 ounces and Emily weighs 14 pounds and 3 ounces. They are both well above 95% for preemies. On the regular chart compared to other six month olds, Michael is still below 5% but Emily is in the 20th percentile in length and weight. Their doctor thinks they should have no problem growing to their full potential. We are going to take Emily to a few sessions of physical therapy for her neck muscles. Her muscles are tight on one side which is starting to create a flat spot. At this point, it is still very minor and should correct itself when we get her muscles loosened up. Overall they have done amazingly well for babies born at 28 weeks. We feel very blessed and love watching them grow and change daily. The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-22604535260494279222009-03-17T13:44:00.004-05:002009-03-17T13:59:11.469-05:00Pictures!<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_yeP-2cpI/AAAAAAAAADU/bjbfSuSWsKU/s1600-h/03-14-09+kid+pics+017.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314232686820618898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_yeP-2cpI/AAAAAAAAADU/bjbfSuSWsKU/s320/03-14-09+kid+pics+017.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_yd5VcLcI/AAAAAAAAADM/tGprtCAE-3s/s1600-h/03-14-09+kid+pics+059.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314232680741350850" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_yd5VcLcI/AAAAAAAAADM/tGprtCAE-3s/s320/03-14-09+kid+pics+059.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_ydajAApI/AAAAAAAAADE/C1GbsGCeeQc/s1600-h/03-14-09+kid+pics+057.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314232672476725906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_ydajAApI/AAAAAAAAADE/C1GbsGCeeQc/s320/03-14-09+kid+pics+057.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_ycqDcsEI/AAAAAAAAAC8/vOTwiC_YtiM/s1600-h/03-14-09+kid+pics+050.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314232659459485762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/Sb_ycqDcsEI/AAAAAAAAAC8/vOTwiC_YtiM/s320/03-14-09+kid+pics+050.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>Here are some pictures of Michael and Emily from the last few weeks. On January 16th Emily and Michael had their 4 month check up. Emily was 9 pounds,15 ounces and 22 inches long. She is in the 95% in everything on the preemie chart. Michael was 9 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches long. He is in the 90% in weight and 95% in length and head. I am sure they have each gained a pound and half since their appointment. </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Emily went to the cardiologist on January 20th. Her PDA has closed but they are still watching her atrial septal defect. The doctor is confident it will close on its on though. Michael went to the urologist and will have day surgery on May 13th.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>The doctors appointments are finally slowing down. The babies are still being seen by a few specialists but we don't have to go as often any more. Their adjusted age is still only 8 weeks so they are behaving like 8 week olds and keeping us very busy. We should be able to get out and about by the end of March. Thank you for yuor continued thoughts and prayers!</div></div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-67954025223956267792008-12-18T23:19:00.003-06:002008-12-18T23:32:47.710-06:00Finally some good news!I took Michael to the eye doctor and his eyes are fully developed and the ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) is gone! I don't have to take him back for a whole year! This is the first time we have gone to a doctor's appointment and not been given a condition or instructions for a follow up appointment. For those of you who don't know the babies currently have seven doctors. We are hoping after January we will be down to four or so. As nice as it is to get out of the house, sitting in the waiting room at a doctor's office is not exactly a getaway. Emily goes back to the eye doctor January 9th and will probably be cleared for a year as well. For now, we are celebrating today's results! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-18213298748595229662008-12-10T22:11:00.002-06:002008-12-10T22:22:55.047-06:00Finally some pictures of the babies!<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVeAPE7eI/AAAAAAAAACc/9EW91wn_tRY/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+110.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278383105970073058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVeAPE7eI/AAAAAAAAACc/9EW91wn_tRY/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+110.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVdGU_rfI/AAAAAAAAACU/vPC2Em-HCJQ/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+115.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278383090425638386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVdGU_rfI/AAAAAAAAACU/vPC2Em-HCJQ/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+115.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcxjrkwI/AAAAAAAAACM/jxdldOHgL3U/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+095.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278383084850090754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcxjrkwI/AAAAAAAAACM/jxdldOHgL3U/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+095.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcsDMu-I/AAAAAAAAACE/5WBdvpqV37Y/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+061.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278383083371674594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcsDMu-I/AAAAAAAAACE/5WBdvpqV37Y/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+061.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcYret5I/AAAAAAAAAB8/bFR8X3LcK2c/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+049.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278383078171916178" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCVcYret5I/AAAAAAAAAB8/bFR8X3LcK2c/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+049.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-60197445059213160122008-12-09T20:37:00.003-06:002008-12-10T22:28:25.616-06:00Michael is home!<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCW3A4u7EI/AAAAAAAAACk/f0Kv4b9Tzx8/s1600-h/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+076.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5278384635153148994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SUCW3A4u7EI/AAAAAAAAACk/f0Kv4b9Tzx8/s320/Baby+Pics+12-10-08+076.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>A quote from the Special Care nurses, "Look who is finally going home!" Michael came home today at 5:30 p.m. after being in the hospital for 12 weeks. He weighs 6 pounds and 9 ounces. So far we are all busy but doing well. We will take some pictures of the babies and try and post them tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for your continued support and prayers; we know prayer had a lot to do with the health of our precious little ones.</div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-27404813339903647322008-12-04T13:18:00.002-06:002008-12-04T13:25:01.055-06:00Hernia surgeries successful! On Tuesday afternoon Michael and Emily both had their hernias repaired. It turns out they had both started to develop a second hernia so they each have two incisions. Emily spent the night in the NICU and came yesterday afternoon. Michael spent the night in the NICU and then went back to the Special Care Nursery. We are not sure when he will get to come home, but he will stay there at least until Monday. Hopefully we will all be together soon! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-19958214473894106042008-11-24T21:25:00.002-06:002008-11-24T21:58:22.536-06:00Emily is home!Emily came home Saturday! We were thrilled to be able to bring her home after 9 1/2 LONG weeks. It was a bittersweet day though because we had to leave Michael at the hospital. He will probably be there another two weeks. He had another eye exam today and there is no change which is good. We are hoping his eyes correct on their own. He will have to have surgery on his hernia sometime soon but the doctors want him to get bigger first. Hopefully he will be healthy and home very soon. Emily is doing well adjusting to being at home. She has an appointment with the surgeon about her hernia on December 9th to find out when her surgery is going to be. She should only have to be in the NICU for 24 hours for the surgery. We know there will be a lot of doctors appointments over the next year, but we couldn't be happier with how well the babies are doing. Thank you for everyone's continued support! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-17656055921027170792008-11-11T22:36:00.003-06:002008-11-11T23:01:37.147-06:008 weeks old!<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SRpjFPM81EI/AAAAAAAAAB0/Iy3kkbJ4a4o/s1600-h/IMG_0261.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267631655794562114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SRpjFPM81EI/AAAAAAAAAB0/Iy3kkbJ4a4o/s320/IMG_0261.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Emily and Michael turned 8 weeks old today (36 weeks gestational age). They are both up to four bottles a day and continue to look bigger each time we see them. Tonight Emily weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces. Michael hadn't been weighed yet for the evening, however last night he weighed 4 pounds and 9 ounces. Emily sucked her thumb for the first time today (see video). The ocupational therapist told us Michael has such a strong sucking reflex that he collapes the nipples on his bottles. We are relieved that Michael's problem may be that he is too strong for his own good rather than him being too weak. The doctors are very positive about their progress and think they may get to come home in a few weeks. </div><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dytvGuw7qoXvqYPf_tUYHbiRoTKQSH16mOOI194f7CU63Nu3IrP7WyB3DT8D-c1BiaaDvfomrlEd0wxTQMhUw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-86755596261781342972008-11-03T19:02:00.002-06:002008-11-03T19:42:43.617-06:00Eye ExamOverall the twins had a good day today. They did have another eye exam this morning from which we received some unsettling news. Emily's eyes are normal premature eyes right now. Michael however, has stage 1 retinopathy (spelling?). The doctors say it could still correct itself so pray for that, otherwise, he will eventually have laser surgery to prevent blindness. Please say some prayers for us!The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-89878812364726713482008-11-01T18:46:00.002-05:002008-11-01T18:55:33.409-05:00The Roller Coaster ContinuesYesterday was a great day: Michael was taken out of his incubator and put into a bassinet and the babies were moved to the special care nursery. Today we received some not so great news. Emily has a hernia and will have to have surgery. We don't know when it will take place, but it will be several weeks so she can get bigger first. We don't know how the surgery is going to be effected by the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">PDA</span> in her heart or if it will impact when she has the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">PDA</span> surgery. Michael seems to be doing well. They are watching his belly because he has had some redness and swelling, for now his x-rays look good though. We are hopeful that the babies will continue to improve and come home soon. Thank you for your continued prayers! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-78149992954408812642008-10-31T19:59:00.002-05:002008-10-31T20:03:32.925-05:00We've been upgraded! The babies have graduated from the NICU and been moved to the special care nursery. We were just moved at 5:30 p.m. today so we are still learning the ropes. We have a huge private room all to ourselves. Our room is bigger than the nursery we shared with two other babies over in the NICU! We'll take pictures soon! Happy Halloween! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-63744321565192371332008-10-29T15:06:00.002-05:002008-10-29T15:16:16.593-05:00We have a 4 pounder!Emily and Michael turned six weeks old yesterday (34 weeks gestational age). It was also a big day because Emily was moved from her incubator to a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">bassinet</span>. So far she has been able to maintain her body temperature on her own. They are both continuing to work on bottle feeding and growing. Michael's latest weight is 3 pounds 11 ounces and Emily has grown to 4 pounds 3 ounces. The nurses are optimistic that the twins will be moved to a garden room or the special care nursery sometime in the next week. The garden rooms are still in the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">NICU</span> but are away from the regular ICU nurseries. Both locations specialize in "feeders and growers";these are the babies that no longer have any major medical needs and just need to learn how to eat and get bigger. The doctors are still closely monitoring Emily's <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">PDA</span> (heart <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">ductus</span>) and Michael's <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">brady</span> episodes. They seem to get bigger and stronger everyday! Hopefully they will be home in 4 to 6 weeks in time for the holidays! The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-48421270632985036792008-10-23T21:11:00.004-05:002008-10-23T21:21:36.590-05:00Emily on Bottle #3<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzny_32DbUm-4iIAM8LqgkcB8wLTvO_ACZSY-baHnPENI6ht5XDvgE_Vf8WKl0TatbM6dwOpXRiv_mx7imBZA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-88092403723459811372008-10-22T20:56:00.003-05:002008-10-22T21:46:21.137-05:00Bottle Feeding Made EasyEmily had her second bottle today....Michael had his first. Emily is so laid back that she sleeps through or patiently waits while the nurses examine her. </div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-41797081546537327082008-10-13T18:17:00.000-05:002008-10-13T18:31:51.188-05:00Week 3<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQB-r3iI/AAAAAAAAAAM/YtzKf4hHFs0/s1600-h/57150021.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256785159015620130" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQB-r3iI/AAAAAAAAAAM/YtzKf4hHFs0/s320/57150021.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQGr0__I/AAAAAAAAAAU/-FAzVED2RpQ/s1600-h/57150022.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256785160278704114" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQGr0__I/AAAAAAAAAAU/-FAzVED2RpQ/s320/57150022.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQJl4GYI/AAAAAAAAAAc/6vicPPiGEk0/s1600-h/57150024.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256785161059047810" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQJl4GYI/AAAAAAAAAAc/6vicPPiGEk0/s320/57150024.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQYAd8fI/AAAAAAAAAAk/UvswrwkccwY/s1600-h/57150025.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256785164928676338" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPaQYAd8fI/AAAAAAAAAAk/UvswrwkccwY/s320/57150025.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>The twins continue to grow everyday. This week we experienced our first "NICU hurdles". Emily received medicine for her PDA (heart ductus that didn't close like it was supposed to), however the treatment was not successful. The doctors say she is not having ill effects from her PDA so they will continue to observe her. The hope is it will correct itself, if not she will eventually have surgery to correct it. Michael was treated with antibiotics for an infection and also given a blood transfusion. Unfortunately he had to be intubated and put on a respirator to help him breathe while he was weakend from the infection. We are happy to report that he was taken off the respirator and put back on the nasal cannula on Thursday; he seems to be stronger than ever!</div>The Schwabe Twinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13102421136696312072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8786365106564795540.post-19509462612414595752008-10-13T18:06:00.001-05:002008-10-15T19:06:37.630-05:00The Twins Birthday<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPbMYoH-yI/AAAAAAAAAAs/cU92NUEW9Rw/s1600-h/57150012.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256786195887160098" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPbMYoH-yI/AAAAAAAAAAs/cU92NUEW9Rw/s320/57150012.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPbM4sln0I/AAAAAAAAAA0/CDzEgPB5upE/s1600-h/57150013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256786204495814466" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ivvI6oa_UQ0/SPPbM4sln0I/AAAAAAAAAA0/CDzEgPB5upE/s320/57150013.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>The twins were born on September 16, 2008.
